Gentlemen
I venture into east bay now and again and lower trinity every once in a while but never really get up in it so to speak. I keep to the usual beaten path. My question is more about proper form and here goes.
I want to take a couple of trips into the more under the brow areas that are secretly not secrets. Is it bad form to enlist a guide and spend a couple of weeks paying for guides to better familiarize yourself with the areas and then use that information and locations when you return in your own boat. Im not a guide but would a good guide consider this potlicking? I have charts just like everyone else and excellent GPS on my boat and I have no doubt I can find the fish sooner or later but would this type of approach offend a guide if I where forthcoming of my intentions. What are your thoughts?
