Could have some serious tides starting tomorrow. If your boat is in a sling, raise it up.

High tides could cause flooding; Houston's skies stay sunny
    By DALE LEZON HOUSTON CHRONICLE
    Nov. 6, 2009, 6:30AM

The National Weather Service has issued a coastal flood statement for Brazoria, Chambers, Harris and Matagorda counties to make people aware of conditions expected to cause possibly higher-than-normal tides Saturday night through Sunday.

A low pressure area moving into the northwestern Gulf of Mexico will cause heavy easterly winds, which will increase tides to between three and four feet, according to the weather service.

Areas along Galveston's West End and on Bolivar Peninsula could be hit the hardest, and Texas 87 could be inudated for awhile.
