Get what you can afford....have had good success out of my 59.95 Magellan breathable ones. If you can afford a Cadillac then don't buy the Pontiac..

I wasn't trying to say Simms or nothing, just that I like mine and Im gonna recommend them. Im 38 and have 5 kids on one income, I def had to save awhile. I actually had been texting the guy that owns GCW when I was getting ready to buy and Im sure they are good. I know that Chuck Uzzle wears them, a well as Dickie Colburn in Sabine.

Anyone have any gulfcoast waders? Looking on website they seem pretty affordable...

I'm going to order me some neo's and breathable's. I like what I'm seeing and the price is right.

I bought the 5 layer at the fishing show last year. As of now they are leaking at the seams. I have not contacted them yet, but plan to. Water was a bit chilly yesterday morning.
on another note, they are very very snug around the ankles and just above them. It makes it difficult to wear more than a pair of socks and compression fit UA.

X2. I'd only add a belt to tighten the top of the waders as added insurance in case you go down. And have a knife handy in case your waders get filled.

Im in my second year of neopreme Game Winners with boots built in, $80 and no leaks yet (knock on wood). I have no complaints about them yet, and for 20% the cost of one pair of Simms! If I felt the need to upgrade I would but Iam satisfied with my cheap pair now.

I like the 3 ply because they ride up higher under your arms and I tend to step out too deep occasionally. I tried the 5 ply a few years back and didnt like them as much. Plugger if they fit me they'll fit you I'm sure.
