Fished Sunday from 9:00 - 2:30 , caught several 16"-19" reds with small trout here and there. Around 1:00 finally landed a limit of reds in the 21"-24" range. Overall very good day by numbers. Fished from Maggie's Cove to SLP. Most of the fish came from the coves. Did not catch a fish in SLP area (East of the pass)

Walked into the south shoreline of Wbay Sat and Sun. 5 bites Sat...2 trout 18/19 and fat and 3 pull offs all released. Sunday 4 bites 3 trout and a red. 1 undersized I let go and kept the other 3...a 16 and 21.5 trout and a 20 inch red...I think the trout weighed more than the red, very fat. All bites on Saturday on Catch Jr. Sunday was a bull minnow...and the biggest trout on Catch Jr. Hard incoming tide both evenings, beautiful water, very light bite, mud/shell flat.

Fished the Ship Channel by the yacht basin Sunday. We boxed 4 flounder (16-17") and lost 2 nicer ones at the boat. Fished from 7:00 - 1:00. Pretty slow. We really thought they would be running better than they were.

Nice reports! Capt. Blue and myself took a ride to marburgers today to pick up some goodies. We eyeballed the water all the way there for some inspiration but the west wind was all it took. Better luck tomorrow.

Alright ! That's what I'm talking WEST END ANGLERS ! Nice reports and much appreciated . We all benefit . Don't post only the catching days . We all have bad catching days , but it's still a good day fishing . Like REVRUSTY , each time out if you pay attention , you'll learn something and that's worth the trip .

Ok, went for a ride Saturday , just checking things, boats everywhere, released 1 red in greens lake back slough, could not get into caranchua lake because anchored boats clogging channel, barge canal, then back to Jamaica beach and down shore to get out of wind, good day for a ride, gigging today 3-6, . 1 fish, 26" though, fished till I had to get to work, @8 at SLP, ducks everywhere but no bites

....have been fishing on and off between the cold fronts. Biggest flounder so far went 27". Went today with another member here to that place over by the Red Crab Trap...you know where it is...and boxed some nice Trout and some Reds.
To keep those at the cleaning table from raising heck we were releasing the big girls (Trout) and thought we were doing the right thing. Of course we released the four or five Reds that were running from 31" to 42" as they aren't worth a crap to keep. Fun to catch but not worth a crap to eat.
Where we were we got into a school of Reds...and the Trout were right with them. 21's plus up top and the big girls were sitting back and watching the show. Released six that were all over 30" and fatter than heck.

We threw the tackle box at them and at one time had all three of us hooked up at one time. Two fat mama Trout and one red at the same time! Three reels barking like a dog and each of us wondering who was going to make it to the landing net first. Gotta tall Ya'll from my point of view....

If Ya don't have any Pro Cure in your tackle box you are missing out.

.....by the way, we released all the big trout we caught...and get back to the cleaning table and what do I see? A three man limit and every freaking one of those fish I watched them clean were all over 30 inches long. I haven't seen that many sows in a long time....
Here is what I dragged up...
                            27 and 7/8....

Outstanding day , monster flounder . I just got some shrimp pro cure recently to try . Will use it next trip . HMAIER stands firm against it claiming to be a purist . He pokes fun at his buddy TERMO who he claims lathers on more pro cure than the weight of the lure . Curmudgeon , known for his frugalness and resourcefulness , swipes his lure under his sweaty armpit and does quite well with that method .

three man limit of 30 inch what ? flounder ?
