    The results are in. We had a great turnout, 17 teams participated in our first ANNUAL West Bay Redfish Showdown!

    Special thanks to Billy StiX Custom Fishing Rods, HookSet Marine Gear & Avery's Bayside Cafe


    Without further adou the winners are as follows:

    Side Pot (most spots): Kaylin Barlow & Thomas Barlow - 5 spots each


    1st: Jamaica Beach Pirates (Jesse Zepada & Paul Rodriguez) - 13lb 8oz
    2nd: Notorious (Thomas & Kaylin Barlow) - 12lb 12oz
    3rd: Castaholics (Kevin Luksa & Jeremy Childs) - 11lb 8oz
    4th: La Pesca (Silver Garza & Jose Mata) - 11lb 1oz
    5th: Dream Team (Michael Dill & Keith Inglehart) - 11lb 0oz
    6th: Spank'em (Ed McGinnis & Jesse McGinnis) - 10lb 12oz
    7th: StrikePro (Robert Smith & Tim Turner) - 9lb 0oz
    8th: Explorer21 (Mike & Donna Romeyn) - 8lb 12oz
    9th: Hai thang da trang (2 white boys) (Chip Reeder & Albert Rathmell) - 7lb 10oz

    I was so busy the whole time I forgot to have someone take photos Oh well... There's always next year when it will be bigger and better!

      Next year I'll participate. Looks like the weather turned out perfect for you all. My inlaws sent me this picture of the bay up from Jamaica Beach area, They took it around 12-1:00.

                        The tourny was great and I can not believe we actually brought some fish to the weight in and we beat Albert and Chip!

                        Anyway, the wind calming down did not help any of us. If this was a trout tourny, we would have all brought in a meat haul. I think we ended the day with 18 solid trout (one being 22" and 4lbs), but we did catch the two reds needed to place in the tourny, which was really a good time.

                        Good job Coe and looking forward to the next one!.

                              Well looks like we made the Galveston Daily News today... Despite them saying it was a week before, all good! Thanks to Capt. Joe Kent for publishing our report in the paper! Congrats again to all who won and participated.
