  • Redfish mania 11/4 with Capt Jeremy Chavez

Cashed in the trip I won on here and got to fish with an old friend on the same day. Fished the body of water between the causeway and rollover pass with Jeremy and David(founder of the old livewell.com fishing site that is now gone). It was windier than forecasted but we were fishing shallow for reds in pretty protected water so that only made Jeremy's job harder but the redfish were there. David and I both had our limits by around 8AM and a I caught my limit of flounder. We released many more reds, lost a few reds becuase of David's old 10# test line, missed a couple flounder and saw a couple huge flounder back there also. It was a great trip with a good friend and a great guide. Any of you who have not fished up shallow for reds like that and don't want to walk through up to knee deep mud to do it need to look Jeremy up. He took a couple pictures to add to the post also. Thanks again Jeremy.

sounds like it was a good fishing trip. I was sure you would have invited me to go with you though. maybe next time.
