Alrighty, here's the deal thus far. VJER Vic is picking up my boat Friday and heading down by himself with the 3 windows I have, probably in the morning. He's going to get the door on and do some other stuff until Tom and Bob show in the afternoon.

I'll be in a training thing until 4pm, though I may indeed come out Friday night unless it pans out that 007 can come out, in which case I'll pick him up Sat. morning. 2112 will be out Fri. night whenever he shows and he'll take Tom flounderin'. VJER will probably be there until I leave on Sunday. He's a real craftsman and he'll be lookin' to stay busy.

When Tom and Bob leave Saturday evening, hopefully we'll have a new wall on the north side of the kitchen and the Cave will be ready to put interior walls on. When I come, I'll be bringing down the teak panels that Primer and Redstikr donated. Unless I get the cedar planks I was hoping for, this will be the wall covering we'll use in the Cave.

Sunday will either be for more work on the place or making a good run at the Ghost Camp in prep for the work crew the following weekend. Melon may show on Sunday for that. Looks like the lights on the dock will be burning each night. Anyone else that wants to show, Caz, Milkjug, etc. Just let me know what you're lookin' at.

I'm really excited about all the progress that's happened in the last month and all that is to come this weekend. - Sandy

Sounds like a plan there Sandy, are you sending your generator down with vic or are we running on the big one? If so , we need to change the oil , is there some oil at the camp......we can probably talk Fish into doing it. He can pretend like he is still jumping over the wall at Indy for AJ

Hey Sandy, we need to caulk the hardy panels, is there a caulk gun at the camp?

          Sandy:

I have two windows intact with shutters on them from Ike-I'm in Jamaica Beach and can haul them to the pass if you are interested-they are sliding windows about 3x3'-they didn't fit my blown out windows-they were my neighbors and he replaced his whole downstairs. Call me at 713.252.1457 or pm me. I don't know exact measurements, but they are in good shape and may be something ya need.
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. Be careful transporting them.. if they catch wind on the front they can and will break.. get them strapped down good.

I know but it's my only oppurtunity until next weekend wich for me seems like a long time.
10-20 outta the North don't sound good at all but water clairty should be happening with lower temps. The 2 big probs are dealing with controling the boat at slow speeds and ripples making the the bottom look distorted.

Nov 1st is comming up and for giggers and its bascicaly over until spring. But I have seen the biggest fish come from Decenber but by then its super cold at night. Only the hardiest need apply for thoses excursions.

Bert is a machine, I'm sure some fish will be punctured.

I've seen a few fish in December. A cold front had blown through for a few days and the wind had just calmed down and the water was low and very clear. Weren't many fish, but since I could cover so much ground I found a few. I'll still take super-cold instead of super-mosquito any day.

Sandy I'll let you know if I can make it. Sunday morning is the only possibility, and I would probably leave by early afternoon if I did go.

Ok, VJER is headed down with my boat tomorrow, probably around noonish. He'll get the door done, get the bracing on the Cave walls, and if he has time before y'all get there, he'll screw the T1-11 panels in good, and take care of securing the windows better on the bedroom and south side. He'll help with the soffit, sophet, er . . . how do you spell that? By dark, he'll join in the festivities. He'll call me with any material orders, so help him out with that if y'all can think of anything we need. The hardware store closes at 6pm.

I had thought about perhaps coming down Friday night, but that will only happen if everything works out perfectly. Whether I'm able to do that or not, I'll meet Robalo to pick up the windows he's donating at 10am at the launch on Saturday.

There's enough oil there to change it in the big gen Tom. It's the SAE 30 oil, which I believe is on the counter or bar. Put the used stuff in the same tupperware we put the other stuff in. I'll bring the Honda when I come on Saturday.

The windows I hoped to salvage are just trashed, so it's absolutely perfect timing that Robalo offered up his. Remember we have tons of chips there that need to be et and a loaf of bread and some tortillas. - Sandy

PS: Caz, if you need a lift, gimme a call.
