  • Blockade Runners Weekend of 10-17&18

I know it's just Tuesday, but I watched the weather this morning and I'm already getting jazzed about the weekend. Looks a little chilly Sat. night, but it should be gorgeous in that the sun will actually be out both days.

Our objectives will depend on who is able to show. Either we will bash on the Ghost Camp, or continue the work on Blockade Runners.

Tom, if you can make it and bring that plywood for the eves, that would be grand. The Cave door is ready to install, but we'll need someone with a modicum of carpentry skills to do it because the area we need to build the frame into is not entirely square, just like the rest of the place. I'll be hauling a load of things down myself or I'd grab the plywood.

I think the best plan of action is to work on this stuff Saturday and focus on the Ghost Camp Sunday.

If anyone can make it, let me know.

It would indeed be a simple job if it was square. It'll get done. I have lots of shims.

Looks like TMO is in for Fri-Sat. He's going to put the eves up and Saturday we'll rebuild the kitchen wall. Sunday is all about da Ghost Camp.

Hey Sandy, I have the 1/4" treated plywood cut and primed as well as the 1x4x8 trim . Anything else you can think of that we need , let me know. Fishbobr and I will leave hopefully a little early Friday afternoon and I think Bert will be out as well for the night.

Awesome! If y'all want to stop by Angleton on the way down, you could cart out some windows. I'm hoping to have a truck load full of cedar boards, so I could use the room.

I really want to make it out Friday night and leave Saturday noonish.
All I can offer is $100 towards building materials or grocerys.
                          Let me know.

Tom's the one laying out for materials Bert. If'n you want to throw something in the til, get with him. I'm sure he'll appreciate it greatly. Just don't bring any potato chips. We have enough to feed all of Somalia.
