Little Wing has to be my all time favorite. There is a DVD out there that shows him before and after drugs and he was a different musician afterwards. Damn shame he finally get's sober and dies in a copter crash. He will always be missed!

Not sure if any of you ever knew or saw Freddie Everett play, but he was from Jersey Village and use to play at the Crooked Ferret in the Cypress area. He passed in 2009, but click on the link below to see his Hendrick cover. He use to cover SRV all the time, this is the reason I am posting it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ofkwNGV_-I

He definitely is and was the master of the pentatonic scales and felt the blues down to his toenails!!! When he closes his eyes and gets that look on his face the spirit has taken over and gittin down!!!I miss him terribly along with Hendrix!! Bring the 60's back and the spirit of those times and our music will rule once again overtaking all the ills in the world!! Peace !!

Saw him at Fitzgerald's in Houston back in the 80's on a tip from a friend in Austin that he was a must see. Almost have to rate him right up there with the Hendrix concert in the Sam Houston coliseum in '69, or was it '70. Damn the years have flown by.

I always enjoyed seeing him in Austin in the 70s-he played with Paul Ray and the Cobras as I recall????? Would see him at different bars and venues. Was pretty hazy back then???!!

Funny thing is that Stevie thought that Jimmie was the better guitarist. And that is what drove Stevie.

Little wing is right up there and so is this song.I have been fortunate enough to see him many times in Austin in the 90's and early 2000s. it was kind of funny this morning the gentleman that pick me up from enterprise young black guy 23 ask you mind if I turn this up Stevie Ray Vaughan died on this day. I I said no by all means turn it up. good to see the younger generation that never got to know him listen to him.
