I spent all afternoon with the guy that found him and the poilce, search and rescue etc. folks. Don't know what happened to him but the bote was right near the geo tubes and had rods, a lab and cell phone in it. The police bote went out to the area and like Coe said, had to come back in. They called numbers on his phone and it was some buddies of his that he had called to go fish. They called his son and daughter I think but they never called back.( that's because kids don't answer the phone-- only text message)

We put the guys skiff in a slip and got it out of the weather. The dog is a damm good looking, friendly Lab and too bad he can't talk. I'll adopt him for the Marina if his next of kin don't want him. See you later and when we hear anything new I'll post it.Comment

He launced over near where his boat was found. The bar owner (JT?) said they had spoke to him as he left and commented on what a nice dog he had. I hope this is not the case but it sure doesnt seem likely at this point that things will turn out good. It creeps me out but I may put the boat in this evening and lend a hand looking if I can.Shut up and FISH!!Comment

Dangit this isn't looking good.This is a example of why I don't go out alone even with mans best friend.Well the truth is I have been having some health problems and think after my conversation with the doc thing will eventually be better..that's for another thread..prayers to this mans family.

Man , that's awful . I fish a lot alone , and as i'm getting older , i don't feel as capable as i use to . 64 next month and i 've had my health issues - i hear you reeltime . I haven't fished since my 7-12,13-2013 sea isle report because i screwed up my left knee then . Wear a pfd when motoring at least !! I do and always when in the boat .
