julie and i pulled a victim from the surf this am. apparently he had a heart attack and drowned. he was fishing 15 minutes earlier, then we found him floating face down in the first gut. we tried cpr but it was too late. i guess he went doing what he loved.

Michelle, the GDN and the chronicle are both reporting the man is in critical condition. Unless you have heard something different lets hope your efforts just might have saved him. Whatever the outcome may be you gave it your best an that is all you can do. Gater

its a little reminder to take the opportunity to love someone today, to live 'now' and not later, sad news for sure, but it's a good reminder because someday all too soon that might be us.

            prayers to both families.

.....as Coe mentioned if you are on the water running be SURE and have your kill switch lanyard hooked up. You might have run through an area a hundred times, but the one time you don't have it on is when that POC is going to be hidden just under the surface and is going to mess you up. Have seen a few on boats this summer so far that will let the engine keep running when the lanyard is pulled.....so test yours to make sure it is functioning properly.

You want it to work when you need it!

When I die... I hope it's doing something I hate. That way I'll be glad I'm dead.

Donna and I were at the Sand Bar Monday night for Steak night and there was a great looking yellow lab up there with a red collar. Can't remember the name on the collar, but is that the lab found on the boat and JT is fostering?

Roy has his black lab up there all the time. If memory serves correct the family was going to claim the dog and the dog according to reports was transported to Galveston animal shelter?

Yeppir-think about the GD Palm Tree Dumper in Jamaica Beach that dumped a 30' freaking tall palm tree in Jumbile Cove about 3 or 4 years ago-that sucker could have killed someone!!! It floated out to be right in the path between Jamaica Beach and Sea Isle. I am still pizzed about that preck that dumped it.
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.
