Went by SAMS and picked up a Standley head lamp for $20. It states up to 193 lumens. 3 watt ultra-bright LED beam with 6 auxiliary LEDs for wide angle viewing. It has 4 settings: AUX, LOW, HIGH, ALL. Turned it on inside the house. Looks bright, but I'm going to try it tonight outside. Lord Bless.

Tried it just right now. I'm going to keep it. It is bright. Brighter than the cap light I have. I'm happy with it. Lord Bless.

I just got this in the mail. It has a waterproof toggle switch to flip light on or off. I just clip it on the battery in the morning and I can have both hands free while navigating.

I used to use on with an elastic strap and a big 6v battery on my belt when I was a kid while flounder gigging.
