How, in any way, is posting a fishing report beneficial to you, the people in your fishing circle, or to the general fishing public? Doesn't it just put more pressure on one of your precious few spots? I kind of think of online fishing reports as a crutch that help the bozos look like go getters. Like a rookie using a robo on his first duck hunt and shooting a limit of mallards.

"Well i saw a report in that there forum and they's sayin that them thar trout are on the east end of Chocolate. I say we get thar at first light, toss out our anchor with one giant horseshoe pitch, crank up the tunes, crack open a cold PBR, and slang a live skrimp into the drink. What do you say Wilber?"

In a nutshell, hush up. The only fishing report worth typing on a forum is after a landlocked snapper safari. People then love to hear about all the snapper you caught and released, exact location, and methods used.

Don't like it? Don't go there.

I shouldn't have to tell a big ol' boy like you to quit whining.

Somebody post that gif of the guy beating the dead horse again.

Dont post reports then if you don't want people in "your" spot. If someone else mentions it in their report remember that it was never really "your" spot to begin with.

As most of you know, I like posting reports of my catches and usually try to include the weather/water conditions (but only a general location). I like even more seeing my friends post their catches (and most of the pics I post are of THEIR fish since I release almost all of mine). Hunting for a productive "honey hole" is the best part of fishing. Am I chest thumping a little..yeah, guess I am, but I'm proud of my catches and even more proud of the guys I take fishing with me that don't usually have as much success as I do. I always try to teach those with less experience than me a trick or two and appreciate it when those with more experience and greater knowledge teach me a trick or two. Keep those pix coming!!!!! I have made a lot of friends since joining this site, partly because of their fish postings and I have never thought they were bragging, just great big smiles on greatful fishermen.

If ya don't post your GPS Location or a darn good recognizable monument in your pic, then ya aint posted a decent report.

Come on guys, help Travis out - post up your coords or at least something easily recognized. It's hard work being a goose guide-especially when your electronic caller batteries go dead or the Feds check your field for "baiting". not all guides can "hunt" at the Petting Zoo-help a fellow out.

BTW, I resemble that comment "... toss out our anchor with one giant horseshoe pitch, crank up the tunes, crack open a cold PBR, and slang a live skrimp into the drink. What do you say Wilber?" And he also goes by "Will" (and he has a 10.5#, 32" trout hanging on his wall) and we drink Coors Light and Shiner Bock-not Buttwipe or PBR-dangit Man, get it right.
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

I get more out of a fishing report than location. Honestly, I'm more intersted in structure than location. I don't care where "your" spot is. Did you get those reds over mud or shell? What colors are working for you? I'm not sure how you don't find that kind of info beneficial.
