The tab probably only needs to be 1 or 2 marks off center. That may not be the problem, though. Is it hard to turn left while sitting still? If so, it could be the steering cable binding as it is retracted into the tube on the front of the motor. A little grease may fix that.

    Good Luck

When not on plane the boat is easy to steer both left and right. It only differentiates when on plane.

See ya in the surf before you go Jeremy. Where you going fishing in Florida? I have some good GPS locations in the 10 Thousand Islands if you're interested. Gotta launch at Chocalusky in Everglades City to get to them, tho. Don't worry, they sell live croakers there! heeeeheeeee.

Didn't think of that... thats genius! haha Anyways I adjusted the torque tab a number and a half to the right. Im gonna bring the proper socket down this weekend so I can water test it and see if I need to adjust it more.

Is it a no feed back helm? If it is, it might be as simple as greasing the steering tube and the cable.

Yes it is a no feedback helm, but it's smooth as butter both ways unless you're on plane.

Do you have a hydraulic jack plate? If not, it may be the setting that you run it on.
