  • Help Please... Drum Fishing Saturday!

I normally don't ask for help on fishing or spots to go, especially for some nasty black drum. Now is the exception.

On Saturday, I am taking a Physically Challenged person drum fishing for the Tournament for Physically Challenged.

Where around the Texas City Dike, Galveston Channel, Jetties has anybody been catching Slot Limit sized black drum??

I haven't wet a hook at alll this year so I have no earthly idea. Any help would be appreciated!!

We always have good luck drifting along the ship channel spoils anywhere from the Dike to Eagle Point with live shrimp on the bottom.

          Good luck!

Near the end of the Dike itself is a 30'+ hole-fish around the edges with cracked crab. Good luck.

By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. That tourney is all about catching, not 'winning'. Everyone involved will tell you where to go, even wave you in to get in on the action. Fleenor flats, end of jetties, and deep water right off seawolf are all good spots. You are doing a good thing, enjoy.

I'll be fishing the same tournament on Saturday for the seventh year. I and most will probably start or end up on the flats near the gas well's just north east of the end of the Dike. Good luck and have lot's of fun. I'll be fishing from my boat Liquid Therapy.
