  • Another storm victim

I bought ol buoy's boat about a month ago, mostly for the galvanized trailer for another project.

I've been hemming and hawing about whether to sell it or keep it around, so it was just sitting in the backyard, where I moved it last time I mowed.

I'll let the pics speak for themselves.

That looks like you could of had that boat anywhere else in the yard and it would have been fine! I don't think God's on your side!

Pretty much! But it also could have just as easily fallen on me in my bedroom, or the shed with all my duck hunting stuff, 4 wheeler, tools, etc.

Boat looks okay, bent the bow a bit and did some damage around the bow support on the trailer. But the trailer is a complete loss. Twisted up like a pretzel.

Sell it for scrap. Trolling Motor looks like it made it!

I just had a friend in town from Branson,Mo that lost his brother from a tree like that.It flatted the cab of his truck on the way home.

Glad it missed you and your valuables!

If you need a little welding, let me know, I'll help you out. Also, I bought a boat a couple of months ago just for the trailer, but then I decided to upgrade my trailer with a new axle. I still have it if you still need one. $350 + free boat! Titles in hand.

If not, what do you want for your damaged rig??? I'm almost ready for another project. I'm thinking of building a mini airboat and this just may be a good start. Let me know.

Again, glad no one was hurt.

Scared the crap outta me. I just knew that it had landed on the house from the noise.

I can't imagine how bad it could be to fall closer.

Here's some better pictures of the boat. Really not too much on the hull, the front support on the trailer looks like it busted a hole, and the very front bent a little bit, but I've had worse damage repaired on other boats.

The trailer tho, she's a gonner. What do you even do with a trailer like this? I was thinking of buying a 4 wheeler trailer, maybe now is the time to do a conversion. Really only busted at the very front.

I'll be able to tell better when we get the tree off it.

I'm def interested in seeing her turned into a mini airboat, especially if there's a ride in her as part of the deal. Titles and registration current.

Oh, I already switched the trailer out from buoy's rig, this is my old painted trailer that was slowly disappearing everytime I launched at fatboys. So I'm set on trailers for the time being.

PM me the hull info. Welded or riveted? Length, width, depth. Maybe we can work something out?? I would be VERY interested in turning your trailer into a 4-wheeler trailer in exchange for the boat hull(you buy materials).
