  • Dead in the water! Help!!!

Mike needs your help... He is located 1/4 Mile North of Double Bayou on the Eastern Shoreline of Trinity Bay. (North of Smith Point). Literally he is due South of the Anahauc Channel. Closest launch point would be Hugo Point or Wallisville Locks.

He's in 4' of water and anchored no power sounds like battery is dead...

They are in a White 19' World Craft Bay boat with a Black Motor...

He launched out of Silvan and needs a tow back there... (at least that's where the trailer and truck is)

Call Mike on his cell if you can lend assistance he supposedly has someone on the way but not sure. He may need additional help should storms pop up.

Mike just called... situation has intensified... "Anchored and taking on some water" they were able to get back underway but the boat /motor is done now.... Current position:

    29 39.49N

    94 48.07W

He's almost on the borderline of Trinity & East Bay

2 miles SE of Redfish Island

They are anchored, any more water and they are going to start drifting...

Okay got a hold of Mike... Boat leveled off.

The guy Mike has coming out there with his boat has never driven a boat before... He is at the launch pulling truck out getting boat in etc... Anyone near Sylvan jump on Mike's boat captained by the good samaritan and take over control so they get both boats back...

            Update...

His boat is in route to their location... His truck and trailer are at the launch.

They've stabilized the on-take of water by distributing weight.

They are anchored into the swells.

            Awaiting arrival of his boat.

I can't be there until at least 5:30! Tell Mike to call me if that is good.

Mike is underway back to ramp getting towed in. His buddy found them and they are currently being towed. Making 7 knots.

Just got off the phone with 007. He says all is ok now.
He is under tow and is about one hour out from Sylvin Beach.

Mike just called me and asked me to post that everyone is safe on dry land now. Good job by his buddy J.R., who until today had never captained a boat in his life.
