schaub can throw for yards but I have never seen him as a strong leader or winner. There is just a small group of quarterbacks you look at and say "hey that guy can win a superbowl" . Honestly I never could say that about shaub. Trade him get a pick or something (some help for yates wr or ol)"Our most great and glorious achievement is to live our life fishingly"

Schaab is basically the re-encarnation of Drew Bledsoe (35 yr old Bledsoe not the 25 yr old). Got a so so arm and is smart enough but lacks 2 major components. Courage and legs. The NFL aint got no room for pocket QB's anymore. The game is toooooo fast now.

And then again this morning. QB's dont have to and shouldnt answer that question. The answer should always be" I leave that up to you guys to write about and answer, i just play football "...... It worked for Troy, Steve and the rest that let their play do the talking.Originally posted by WestEndAngler View PostI believe he was asked that immediately following the game... What would you say?

As someone who played the game, and then coached it for 16 years, I think I know the game pretty well. I'm not an NFL level mind, but I think Schaub is plenty good enough to win a Superbowl. He's a fair leader, he's an accurate passer, and he doesn't make a lot of mistakes. He's a better quarterback than most in the league. Do I think he belongs up there with Big Manning, Rodgers, or that sissy with New England I hate so much because he looks like a sissy but he's so good? I don't even think Drew Brees was ELITE this season. Little Manning has 2 Superbowl rings, but he's not in that category.
Any way you cut it, the offense yesterday scored enough points for this team to win. The defense is where the blame lies. The loss of Cushing and the eventual uncovering of weak areas by lesser teams than New England came together to make this an impossible to win game.
Any way you cut it, 28 points should be enough to win a game. Defense wins championships. 42 points given up and y'all are blaming Schaub? That's silly. From 1970-1997, true heaven on Earth existed on the banks of Bayou Cook. "Hey Dad, Thanks for buying the Camp."
