Caught a sawfish last night. Didn't know it was a big deal. He has small, probably about 18 inches including everything. Went up to the county park and they had a number to call. Called it, no answer. He was small, looked like a skate, except for the nose protrusion. Pretty cool. No picture, as usual. I was just happy to get him back in the water. I don't know if this is a big deal, I'll update you if they call me back. - Sandy

Wow! Once in a lifetime? I'm stupid. I elected to put it back in the water rather than walk the 45 feet to get a camera? Folks, heat up the brand. I am a dumb arse. No return call from the sawfish people. But I'll try again tonight. If I catch another, I will not care about the slurping sound. I will darn well get a pic.
I've caught 2 tarpon here, a pompano, and a bluefish. I've caught blacktip and bonnethead sharks. All these I thought were interesting, but not unheard of. This one seems different, but didn't at the time. From 1970-1997, true heaven on Earth existed on the banks of Bayou Cook. "Hey Dad, Thanks for buying the Camp."
