Man bad luck lately. Hope you guys get back safely. Pickle the motor ASAP if I read this right and the motor came of the boat and submerged.

Then take it to EVAN'S Marine . Best mechanic this side of the Mississippi . Results are still being calculated for the other side.

Whoops, gurgle gurgle, glug glug. We hit a duck blind once in a 15' with an old 18 hp Rude-luckily it popped off transom instead of flipping into boat (even snapped the wire safety cable) and was in January-we waded around for about 15 minutes in chest deep water and found it-blew out cylinders and rebuilt carb and was running again in 2 weeks and ran another 10 plus years before finally wearing out.

Had a buddy lose a motor in West Bay. Easier to salvage on the bay then in the ICW.

How in the world did the motor just come off? Did the transom break? Motor mounts come off??

HE had the tilt set so it wasn't free floating and when we hit whatever it was it couldn't give, and Just came straight off the transom
