Winter Trout Tournaments

Our tournaments are open to everyone.
Please don't confuse these two potential tournaments with our series of events these tournaments are a one time thing.
This tournament is just a tournament, we would a few expenses: weigh master, t-shirt, polygraph, plaques and maybe some rods for the winners. As shown we should have a good payout.
Winter tournaments are always geared towards the angler that would rather brave the cold & winds chasing big trout. These type of tournaments bring out the true pluggers. The guys that grind all day wading over reefs & deep mud. We do not expect to bring in our typical crowds. This is a tournament for those big trout anglers.
Some changes we are considering to the information posted originally...
Boundaries would be opened up to the following: http://goo.gl/maps/s3Y3v
Weigh-in time would be adjusted to 4:30We are West End Anglers, a saltwater tribe!

The "Cause" is putting $$$$ in the winning Teams pocket of course! Really?Originally posted by Paul MarxWhat's the cause ? I've been told in talking abouttourneys on this site "why you talking about it ? you don't fish tourneys " You are right I only fish the ones I want to . I've had my shares of wins , but I've also showed up with a skunk in the bag . Inorder to have a goodt showing you have to make it enjoyable to all involved . Back to my original question what is the cause ?TDFT Certified Weighmaster

My vote is to have a sepereate guide division and let them decide(up) their entry fee. Also add a calcutta to the guides division or both. Get rid of the live fish except for the guide division(not everyone has an O2 system). Have more door prizes versus a raffle for door prizes. Add the cost of a few drinks and food to the cost of the enrtry fee. Just my thoughts.Sounds like a good time.Last edited by corndog; October 1, 2012, 09:03 PM.Bacon Bacon Bacon!!!

Winter Trout Tournaments
And what I mean by that is the conditions are usually horrible. Low tides fronts etc. you really have to be on your game. Know what your doing, where you are people always get stuck. Winter fishing is tough but rewarding at the same time.Originally posted by WestEndAngler View PostIt's not a tournament for the average Joe.
I'll keep everyone posted this is all just preliminary. We are West End Anglers, a saltwater tribe!
