  • Waterman's in Pirates Cove

The remodeling for Waterman's is coming along, I dropped by there last night to deliver another 30 lifts. After unloading we ate downstairs & I've got to say the food was out of this world, very impressive. If you fish the West end of Galveston you really need to stop by, it's a nice place to eat, drink, get gas for your boat, or stock up on supplies. It doesn't appear the bait shop is fully functional but if I had to guess it should be running full bore in a week or two at the most. Swing by there & check it out, it really is a cool place to go.

Attached is a pic I took last night of the 1st 15 lift out of 100+ that are installed, the slips are filling up quick. David (the operations manager) stated the majority of the next set of boat lifts that are being installed have contracts on them already. Run down there & check it out if you have time, you'll thank yourself!!

David needs to give FishWestEnd members free launch access... $10 is a little pricey.

The lifts look great and very impressed at how fast things are coming together down there.

Surely you recall that we're a non-profit organization & just do this for the love of the sport, right?

We had a small wedding reception there last month. We had a private room upstairs with private balcone to watch sunset. Food and service was great. I think for 25 people food and unlimited wine and beer was about $1500. Pretty goog deal!

But....5 bucks to drop my kayak in at 5 in the morning...a little much.

I thought they let kayakers go free?

Michael, the lifts look sweet. Glad you got the contract. Mine is doing great. Thanks again for the fine work. Did Morrison do the install at Waterman's? As for the ramp at Pirates, they certainly are not endearing themselves with the $10 launch fee.
