  • Warning - Thief on the water

Saturday AM my boat was robbed while I was wading. I still can not believe it.

I anchored up near Galveston on the north side of the old rail road bridge. (Never fished their before) set out for a wade and thought I saw someone near the boat. I started heading back that way and saw a guy that I had noticed kayaking get out of the water near my boat and then start walking along the shoreline rather quickly back to his Blazer carring some gear that looked a lot like mine.

When we made it back to the boat my spare rod and tackle bag was gone.

Here is a description of the suspected perp.

    Bald
Big, cant guess at hight but #250 +.
    White or light skined Hispanic
    25-30 years old
Orange and Yellow small Kayak (fades front to back)
Light or "Electric" blue 4 dr Baby Blazer (Older model)

If you see him say hi for me, and pick another spot to wade.

(I have posted this at 2cool and TKF, FYI I am not looking to get my stuff back, I just want to warn other fishermen about this guy. If his is this bold, next time he may be dangerous)

What comes around goes around! That sucks that we can not even be on the water enjoying ourselves without some fat guy stealing people's gear. BTW, how the hell did the small yak fit his big arse!!!

That Sucks! I will sometimes wade a mile away from my boat. That leaves it very open to people like this guy.

Chip, we will find them one day and it won't be pretty. I don't care if he weights 250 plus... the bigger he is, the hard he falls or better yet, sinks

Maybe the guy that stole Coe's yak is theiving with it now!!

If ya see a yak fitting the description-get a picture of him and his truck license plate and post it to see if Bueno Suerte recogniozes the bastage.
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

I feel a sting operation coming down. Thieves are creatures of habit, I bet this wasn't the first time he's done this there.

Not that much different than a Karankawa indian hunting the shallows at night with a torch and a spear.

That has happened twice to my younger brother at LA Fitness, so he quit going there and joined a club with security. Damn shame people can not work for a living instead of stealing from the people that do.

I had a jeep wrangler in college and it got broken into 3 times and after the 3rd, I realized having a radio and speakers just were not worth it anymore.
