I was lucky enough to get to sit down and have a beer with some tarpon guides out if Galveston a few months ago who gave me some tips so I'm going off more than the article , thank God

I dont always drink beer, but when i do , I prefer to be fishing !!!!!
Tarpon feed at night and that's the time to get them.
They seem to like deeper water and will feed on the bottom.
Just past the second bar or in water that deep.
Not picky about lures or bait.
Nice and cool at night, a real blast.
Heavy leader suggested.

I've never targeted them deep so that's gonna be new to me , I've always had the people in the boat shark fishing while I was standing on the console with binoculars looking for them rolling

hey Sam, if you want to make a two boat run down the beachfront give me a call. we've been doing it in late july and august. haven't landed one yet but we've jumped some and have hit some big schools of oversized reds
