Anyone ever fished down near South Padre Island? One of my co-workers has to be in Rockport then going down to Padre... Any places to walkin and fish? Can anyone suggest a guide?

There are several spots along Highway 100 to stop and wade in to some sand and grass flats before you get into SPI. There are accessable spots on SPI itself to wade the shoreline as well. Pick up a Hot Spot map, that is what we did. Great place to fish, we slayed em'.

I recommend Ernest also. For places to fish, there is the Isla Blanca jetties which is a good spot. Behind the convention center there is a nice flat. If there is no bait in the flat, don't waste your time. There is Holly Beach area in Port Isabel. Beachfront has been hot. Lots of bait right now running the surf. I'll see if I can get some more info but there is a hot bite on mangrove snapper at the jetties right now. I'd go do that. Them things are tasty.

if you cant get ernest, check w/ bruce shuler at getaway adventure lodge and see if one of his guides is available. it's a great place to stay and the food is really good. tell him one of the pink posse members sent you.
