Should be a nice sunset on Titlum-Tatlum this Saturday. I'm planning on getting there Saturday afternoon around 5pm or so. We'll have some redfish on the halfshell if anyone aside from Mike wants to share (007 doesn't eat fish). I've got a bunch of reds in the freezer that will be coming due in July. Time to eat them. Sunday will be mostly for workin'. As a bonus, since I'm done with school as of today, we'll be there Monday as well. Hopefully by the time Monday is done, we'll be truly ready for da new roof from Lurefisher.

Post up if'n you're interested in comin' out. - Sandy

Unless I can make to Dickinson by 8 Monday morning, I may not be able to go.
I work just enough to pay for my fishing habit.

Sounds like a tall order Mike. Perhaps we'll leave late Sunday then and I'll come back with me boat on Monday. Sound good?

Hey Sandy, I wanted to make it last weekend but I had a grandson baptize on sunday so I had some cooking to do for everyone coming over on sunday. Since school is out do you plan any trip's to camp during the week????????? That would be right up my alley. I'm leaving town tomorrow for a week but after that let me know.

Yes Willie, I'll be out there a bunch! Dooowayne, give me a call. It's looking like we'll be coming in Sunday evening so Mike can get to his job. I was thinking about going back out there on Monday and Tuesday, but I can't do very much by meself.

Things have shaped up and it looks like Mike and I will be there by about 5pm or so Saturday through about 6pm Sunday. I'll head back out there Monday in the Ugly Mudda with TMO and perhaps fishbobber in tow. We'll stay 'til Tuesday evening. If anybody wants to join in, there's lots of work to do. I know that probably doesn't sound like fun, but it actually is. Once the place is all together, it's going to be a heckuva place to enjoy. - Sandy

Made some big progress this weekend! 007 got the front porch facia up and ready for the roof and Bird Dog came by for a visit and he and his buddy Chip helped remove a bunch of pilings. Can't thank you guys enough for making that happen!

I'll be launching today at noon and we should be busting some stuff up on the Ghost Camp most of the day. A little fishin' under the lights and some more bustin' up tomorrow should round out the trip. Sure will be nice when we get all this done!

I'm going to take Wednesday and Thursday off to get some things done here at home and head back out there Friday for the weekend if anyone is interested.

Man, I was too tired to give a full report. Here you go:

We got to the launch around 5pm, just in time to meet up with Lurefisher, Corndog, and Sneekypete who had just arrived at the camp. They helped us unload and we were off. Sneeky showed us a couple of very promising spots and we got a lot of nibbles, Sneeky had a couple flounder on the line, but nothing was landed. It was a cool tour of West Bay. I love learning the area and it was my first time over there. 'Twas a good time with good folks for sure. Thanks y'all for showing us around.

We got back at sunset and got the lights fired up. I got dinner rolling and we feasted on crawfish, ribs, and brisket. Then just sat on the porch and shot the breeze while basking in the glow of the full moon. Sure was beautiful out there. We finally got down to the dock and picked up some nice trout before the tide slowed and the bite died. Then we crashed in the cool room. 007 brought an A/C out there and we rigged up a sleeping bag for a door to keep the cool in. Worked pretty good.

On Sunday 007 picked up Glen at the dock and we got to work. Before we got too into it, Bird_Dog and his buddy Chip showed up. Sure was great to do some serious front porch sittin' with those guys, and as I mentioned before they got those pilings removed, which was a big deal for me. I helped, but just got in the way as usual.

It had been a long time since I left the place feeling like we had really made some serious progress. Now we're working on tearing down the other place too.
