W. End I guess...
Fire crews are on the scene of a huge fire at a the Maravilla Condos in Galveston.
The fire started around 2 p.m. in the rear part of the building. The condos are located on Seawall Boulevard at Cove View, on the West End of the island. All the condos are individually owned.
The complex suffered damage when Hurricane Ike roared ashore last September and many units were still under construction.
As of 4 p.m., the Galveston Fire Department has no reports of any major injuries.
39 News has a crew on the scene and will have the latest in a live report tonight on the News at 9.

The fire started shortly after 2 p.m. at the Maraville Condominiums, located at 9520 Seawall Blvd., and took more than two hours to get under control.
Thick smoke and heavy flames poured from the back of the multi-level structure.
"All the head of maintenance said is 'It's bad,'" said Valerie, an owner of a condo unit. "I'm speechless. It's a heartbreak. It's so overwhelming."
The units are individually owned and many are undergoing renovations after damage from Hurricane Ike.
"People were evacuated immediately from the premises," said Alicia Cahill with the city of Galveston.
"We had a major fire that cost us about 50 percent of our building. Galveston firefighters stopped it at one of our major firewalls. The bad news is we'll probably lose 50 percent of our building, but the rest looks like it's going to be OK," said Bill Etheredge, the property manager. "We're still in construction from Hurricane Ike and were about 60 days out from completing all of our repairs."
Firefighters from Texas City, League City and La Marque were called to the scene to help battle the blaze.
One firefighter was transported to a hospital for heat exhaustion.
No other injuries were reported.
Traffic on Seawall Boulevard was blocked as firefighters battled the blaze.
There's no word yet on a possible cause.

You are right and I sure would not want to be the insurance company of the constuction company, because someone is going to pay big time!Originally posted by Race1Mopar View PostYea, that really scks. I heard that it was from a welders torch too. That's carelessness that affected many people if that's true.
