PRICE Increase in Lifetime Hunting & Fishing License

Effective September 1, 2009

There will be a slight increase in all of the license fees, but the most dramatic increase will be in the Lifetime License.

Currently it's

Lifetime Combo- $1,000 to be $1,800 after 9/1

Fishing only - $600 to be $1,000 after 9/1

Hunting only - $600 to be $1,000 after 9/1

If you were considering one it pays for itself in less than 15 years now

but with the new cost and if the fees stay the same, it will take approx. 26 years to pay for itself ( based on Combo ) with the new cost of yearly licence being $68

I'm going to go buy my lifetime today... it doesn't include waterfowl stamp but I would have already paid for it 2x now already!

I was thinking of getting one for my son for his high school gradutation which is next year, but I may have to go get one now. Thanks for sharing this info
