I don't understand why some folks have problems with FTU. Some of their prices are a tad higher than the discount chain that will remain nameless, but the customer service is great and they employ some really good people, some of whom are on this board. It's where I go when the chain doesn't carry what I need. I just wish it was closer to Galveston!

This store is much better than the old one next to carters country and the folks are very helpful. There are a few of the folks that are a bit snooty. I think I may run there at lunch time and buy stuff i dont need

FTU might be good for inshore, but their sword fishing gear selection is severely lacking. And there doesn't seem to be anyone there with actual bluewater experience, just people that have "heard something works from a buddy".
