I was playing a charity tournament at South Shore Harbor. It was my first tournament in over a year (or longer). My mixed doubles partner came down with the flu and I had to call one of my students as a backup. She isn't tournament ready, but she did pretty well considering. As doubles is a team effort, I couldn't have made it to the semis without her. I was very rusty and the last year has been dedicated to teaching instead of actually practicing. Here is a short highlight reel of the semis. The few things I noticed when I made this was,
1. I look fat.
2. My shots are really bad.
3. After tearing my shoulder muscle my senior year in high school, my second serve never regained form (I just put some slice on it and no power at all), though my first has maintained it's high quality.
4. I still have my doubles instinct.
5. I look fat.
Enjoy! (I'm in the white/ red shirt)
