Yes, there's only a bolt dangling now... The "Tab" is gone for the 3rd time

Its torque tab anode, they run about 15 bucks, I'll have one at the shop Friday, need to put lock tite blue on it

Your going to have to show me how to put it on I'm going to be floating on a noodle in the canal while the boat is in the sling

That doesnt hurt anything if thats what i think it is....isnt that the part that just takes corrosion instead of everything else? Skag?

....it's called a trim tab. You adjust it to compensate for which way the engine want's to throw you up on the bank at power!!

EDIT: Coe, the bolt is left but the tab is missing?? One of those "WTF" things it seems! Might not have been tightened up correctly me thinks.....

I didn't replace it another company did. How does the trim tab attach to the under part of the skeg? Is there a bolt? Perhaps what I was looking at was the nut sliding around in the housing?? Bryan that's why I said I'll need your help showing me how it attaches or goes together.

A bolt holds it on. Wont hurt to run it a time or two without it.

Pull the trapezoidal plastic cap directly above the trim tab. Get a socket that fits the bolt head down inside, you'll need an extension. Hold the zinc under the bolt and tighten the chit out of it!

Coe , that is a very special part . I lost one and almost didn't make it home . All I could do was go in large circles and pray . Luckily I was in the middle of the bay . I passed Jamaca Beach 3 times before getting home . Almost ran out of beer . It was scary stuff I tell you .
