Careful on Galveston, fast moving winds moving across Galveston Bay right now.

I was in the yacht basin when it came in and saw a waterspout cross the Galv. channel right next to me. I need to start carrying a camera all the time!

Just in case you're wondering, that wind blew the Gulf flat. Once the sand settles out it ought to be beautiful! Sunday fishing?

The surf was like a roller coaster today, this morning 1'-2' mid-day 3'-5' late afternoon flat.

Well, now it's blowing back a bit. It may not be that smooth tomorrow

This weather blew in real hard,we clocked winds up to 71mph and the powelines crossing the ship channel folded like a cheap card table,I could see lots of wreckage from the Pelican Island Bridge..pretty sure the Galveston To the Causeway channel is closed at this time, have to go around! The main poles in the center are concrete,or were,Its all gone!nasty weather and a Big Ol Mess!

We dodged the bullet on the West end. Very little wind and no damage, but now the NW wind is blowing 20+ and gusting.
