Oil Spill in Highlands Bayou

I would not worry too much about it. I grew up on that bayou not far from where the oil spill occured. Fish, crabbed, swam my entire chilhood in that bayou and I don't glow in the dark. The old superfund site does not have any surface runoff to worry about. Now if you were drinking well water from that area thats a different story. The ditch you are refering to if thats what you would call it would have no effect on the bayou because what contiments that are still there are well below ground.Originally posted by Galveston340...if you guys think I am "BS'ing" you take a slow drive just to the west of where the pits used to be...the ones that were at the Superfund Site....
Sure looks like something is still sticking to that grass that is in the ditch that feeds into that water.
.....But of course, it's been cleaned up with our tax dollars and is now safe....BULL CRAP!!
That's a "CPR" place if there ever was one...with rubber gloves to boot!!!
