Like H.Maier said, the hose bib may be leaking, also check where the hose bib connects to the pipe, you may need to remove drywall to get to that connection. At his baptism, Sam Houston was told his sins were washed away. The leak was probably where it goes through wood , that was always the first place i checked when doing construction to get through college, vibration of the water running through creates friction and wears down the outsideI dont always drink beer, but when i do , I prefer to be fishing !!!!!

The leak was from some staples used during sheet rock install. Two puncture wounds on the pipe in a crawl space. oleander kayaker came over & he snapped this photo of the plumber down in the crawl space, accessible by dropping 10' onto the 3rd floor from the attic.
Outside valve still not replaced trip to home depot for the plumbers.

The staples that punctured the pipe are from the cabinetry install on the other side of that wall.
Cool pic of the valve innards. The plumber was able to somehow tap in a lag bolt to get the guts out of the valve housing.
I wonder if Home Depot carries that sort of valve, hope they do. Otherwise Universal Plumbing Supply downtown opens at 8 am.
If I had been doing the repair I would have torn out more sheet rock (I was making various Project X suggestions to Coe). Lucky that the plumber was skinny and could fit and climb down into the utility chase.
Now, did the bill pay for the plumber's kids orthodonics? At his baptism, Sam Houston was told his sins were washed away. He reportedly replied, “I pity the fish downstream.” - Nov. 19, 1854 - Independence, Texas

Universal Plumbing Supply will have it. I brought them a gasket from a flush valve that was over 60 years old and they had new fresh replacements.Originally posted by WestEndAngler View PostHe is going to fix the valve once he can find a replacement, strip it and use the guts.
They're one of the last classic plumbing supplies, where you sit on bar stools, while they run down your order of parts. At his baptism, Sam Houston was told his sins were washed away. He reportedly replied, “I pity the fish downstream.” - Nov. 19, 1854 - Independence, Texas
