If you don't find enough stuff to put one together, there's a resident here in Bayou Vista that sells them much cheaper than you can buy them online and they work great. Shoot a PM if you want her number.

Contact Lori on here-she makes a heck of an underwater light and uses the right materials and is reasonable/good price. I have one of hers and one of someone elses-Lori's is better made.

I'm done with underwater lights. Two of ours have been ruined by idiot weekenders that
cast surf weights into the lights and snag them.

The cool ones the offshore guys are using are 12-volt LED I think, bright as the day and you pick yer colors, and portable so you can haul them into storage fer safe-keeping and not get 'em all fouled up. I'm sure you can get 110 volt for the dock to make it easy, just less amps. Experts like maybe Lori know how to make them good to 30 feet depth or more, easy. Lasts forever, never burns out. It's the mack daddy, them underwater LEDs.

City Electric on Broadway in Galveston carries the green U/W LED lights, they are rechargable and last 2/3 hrs I'm told.

I take my U/W LED lights wherever I boat. I can select white or blue. Hope to use them for some late nite trips this year.

I saw that same UFO last friday nite after finishing off a case of cold cervezas. Geez, I thought I was just drunk, but there it is in your picture!! Whooaaa, gotta get another beer before some alien wants to start "probing".

I've only been out once at night since installing these lights. When underway, they light up the wake very well. I hope to spend a few nights on the water soon and see how well they help the fishing. Otherwise, they're just cool!

Building your own underwater light isn't that tough if you have basic skills. Plus, you can buy material for two. That way, in about 5 tp 10 years you are ready to replace it for no cost (or rather rather the $20 extra bucks you spent earlier).
