Hey Chris

Have you ever super tuned a reel?

I have super tuned reels in the past. I don't get as fancy as they do in Japan but I polish the pinion gear, spool shaft, braking system, etc. I also like the ceramic bearings for smoother casting. I can't attest to casting distance gains as most of that greatly depends on your drag settings and external conditions. But super tuning, upgraded bearings and drag washers will improve the reel smoothness and reduce backlashes.

Well folks, I am giving credit where it is due. I took My Curado 100d apart for some cleaning and put it back together and it did not work. I took it to Chris yesterday and He e-mailed last night, reel was cleaned and put back together.......right. Seems that I put one part back in upside down? I met Him at His house this morning and picked up My New looking and feeling reel. Talk about fast service. Thanks Chris, You now have all My business. Give him a call, He can fix You up!!!
