  • Where to get crawfish

Some friends and I are having a boil this weekend. We probably need 100-150lbs. Just called boyds and it's 3/lb if you buy a 35lb sack. Seemed pretty high, is that what the going price is right now?

    Call Ronnie Dumesvile
    713/ 824-9803

His farms are local - Danbury area, and he quotes market price after Mardi Gras

He will need times to harvest them so you need to give him a 5 day notice - he has a bunch of commercial customers

      Good luck and good eatin'!

I paid 2.94 at Boyds last weekend. That's about par for this time of year. -- the really low prices that we've seen before are a thing of the past. Crawfish have become way too popular for the price to stay low. I'm betting they dont get much below 2.00 from here on out. Hope I'm wrong but I doubt it.

I saw a sign yesterday that you can get live crawfish at HEB's. Not sure how big they are now, still early in the season.

I agree. no more $0.99 a pound crawfish. Sucks but seems like more and more people are buying them up so no need to lower the price.
