I'm on the sidelines today. I looked at the surf cam before heading to church this morning. Dead flat calm and a beautiful sunrise. Even if they aren't biting, looks like a beautiful day to enjoy the water. Good luck all.

Got to the beach around 11:30 and wind was starting to kick pretty good. Whitecapping out at the second gut although the wave action was minimal. Cuddles took off with her beach bag and I took off to the house. Couldn't get motivated to slip on the waders. Glad I didn't drive in from out of town. Wanted to fish the incoming tide thus the late start, still a week or so away, gotta be patient.

I got out there about 6:30a.m. fished til about noon.
                          1st drift throw back red
2nd drift 1 trout and 1 red both about 18".
                          3rd drift nothing

moved to different spot boxed 5 trout on that drift
next drift lost 1 keeper red at the boat and a keeper trout at the stringer.
made another drift had 1 more trout.
Went back to the first spot and caught another throwback red.

The fish seemed to bite the best between 8:00 - 9:30.

We fished dirty water with shell / mud bottom. It seemed like if you were not throwing the lure in their mouth you were not catching them.

Damn Shorty, I'd have took that day. Sounds like a few here and a few there but they add up. Good ole Chocolate.
