Is that the house on the Right after you turn off of Bluewater hwy onto 8mi and before you get to Stewart? Always thought it had a funny name.

Man I'm pizzed, woke up at 5am to fish, saw that the wind was cranking 17knts. Went back to sleep and woke up at a few hours later to see that it died right down.

Driving down 3005, when you get to 8mile rd there is that fenced in area to the right with the big blue building and all the toehr house around it. That's the Gafftoppers. They started it years ago as a fishing club but it's more of a drinkign and talking loud club hahahahaha They haven't done many functions lately since they lost their kitchen but they still have a few. They have to rebuild but used to do a Mardi Gras dance, Allow people to rent camp space there during Biker Ralley Weekend, Host the Sherrifs annual party, ect ect...

That's the pits about the wind. I came in off the water one Saturday and as I was coming in the wind was dying out, and Roballo was going out! He timed it better than me that week.

I might go down...but i'd rather hit it up after the front comes through and possibly knocks that damn surf down.

I don't really want to deal with the crowds either. I imagine it will be a cluster when the wind finally lays a littly bit on a weekend. A lot of people have been chomping at the bit, but have called off trips because of the wind. It'll bust wide open with people if it lays a little.
