I think I'll go tomorrow about noon; walk around for a couple of hours, and try and beat the Clear Lake traffic to get home.

I went today! I had so much fun it ought to be illegal! Got an opportunity to talk with Mickey Eastman for a few minutes without interruption. Dude is really mellowing out as he gets older. Met JQ after Mickey's seminar and we talked for a good while. Really enjoyed just talking with him! Bought a bunch of stuff I know I don't need, but i have some new lures to try! I met the owner of TTF and Norton Lures. The new Shiney Hiney lures look incredible. JP Chavez was manning the TTF booth in the afternoon and that guy LOVES fishing! I really enjoy just listening to this guy talk fishing. He is ate up with it! I got a free ticket for Saturday, so i'll go back and hang out with Nathan Gray and his dad at their booth and chill with the CCA folks and talk up the STAR Tourney.
FYI- If you like Castaway rods, they got 'em and they are sellin' them cheap. Well, the older models anyway. The Baad Marine booth was packed the entire time I was there. After Mickey's seminar, they sold a whole bunch of Maniac Mullets. Mickey loves that bait! If you have not seen the Fishing Analyst Software, go by their booth and check it out! The guys at Austin Canoe and Kayak are some of the most knowledgeable and customer friendly guys I have ever met! Hot is an understatement for the girl handing out cards for the Boat Club folks. You join the club and they supply the boat for you to fish or for other recreational water sports. I'm not interested in the club, but she was drawing some serious attention!
One more thing: Take a set amount of cash with you! Leave all other manner of purchasing power at HOME! Not in the vehicle, not in the wife's purse, leave the checkbook, cards, and other cash you do not want to spend at home! If you don't, prepare to spend your summer doing honey-do's! You will spend it if you bring it! Y'all have fun now, ya hear!

Moe, you got an extra pack of provokers, SCORE ! jk
I had a good week with the purple Lil Johns about 2 months ago and just found out that flounder like them too. (when dragged on the bottom, in dirty water)

I'm going one day, not sure which. I showed Momma my beat-up AmerRodsmith rod with 3 broke eyes and She almost demanded I go to the show and get another rod I'm thinking another Green rod....

Made it in and out of the show without spending a dime which was a first for me except for the parking. While I was crossing the street some guy handed me a couple of free passes to the show which I thought was pretty cool. Saw a lot of nice stuff and was very tempted to buy something but I kept my wallet in my pocket. Got a chance to talk to people that I only see once a year and I think that was the main reason I went to the show. Got to talk to Roger (Smooth Move) for a good while and have a cold beer with him. Can't get over all the improvement's that have been made to GPS's since I bought my Garmin 182C years ago, there may be a new one in the near future. If you get a chance to go, do it, looks like it's going to be a pretty good show this year. If anybody is close by me in Baytown I still have a pass that's good till Friday and $2 off Saturday and Sunday.
