Doesnt seem like Ive been on this site that long, the more more Im on it, the more I get hooked!

So here is the real reason I posted, Me and 6 buddys w/3 boats are leaving Friday morning to go to Lake Calicasieu for the weekend. We are staying on the NE side of the lake, launching out of Hebert's Marina. Has anyone fished in that area and if so any advise on where to go, what to throw, etc....... We are not hiring a guide, just a map and fishing instincts to lead us the way. So any help will be appreciated!

Congrats and I am being told that the fishing on Lake Calicasieu is hot these days and blows away texas fishing. Maybe Coach Law can give you some advice, since he is from LA.
