Had my new liberty sport polarized RX sunglasses on the water today. I got the amber lenses, and they worked great for the low light conditions. Best of all, no irritated eyes from those da#n contacts. I am so far very pleased with my purchase. Without insurance the glasses would have cost me less than $200 bucks. Less than a pair of non RX costas. After vSP, they cost me $55 and that is just like a feather up the you know what. Tickles me to death. Now, I just have to keep from dropping them in the water!

I'm too paranoid to wear my new sunglasses w/o a floating lanyard. I picked up the Chums at Academy and they've been great so far. Makes me feel safer.

Can you stare at the sun? How's the protection around the eyes does it let any light in?

The reason I like the Costa's is that they do not allow any peripheral light to enter from the sides or under the glasses. This allows you to see the fish better and not worry about a glare or light beam hitting you in the side of the face.

Amber lens.... if you've ever been driving in the rain, throw your sunglasses on (assuming it's daytime). The amber lens should allow you to see through the road (water spray) from the cars on the freeway and allow you to see an additional 100' further.

No staring at the sun with these amber lenses for sure.
