Dead Fish in our canal - Terramar

These two pictures where taken by Willa, who lives in Terramar Beach. These are the dead fish I was referring to on another thread yesterday. She said it smelled really bad and if you look closely, you can see all the seagulls having an all you can eat buffet!

Its the Menhaden! a horrible time to be on in the coves! Thank god I won't be there!

After looking at the 2nd pic that's a good sizeable kill... They get so thick in there and deplete the oxygen, with the fresh water salinity lowers and they can't take that much abuse... If you throw a cast net out you'll get millions! but they die so quick...

We just arrived and we are thinking about heading back, because it stinks so BAD, that my wife almost threw up!

Will someone come and clean this up or will nature takes it course?

nature is going to take its course but that crap smells bad. I wouldn't hang around.

We made the decision to stay here, because the wind is coming out of the south now and blowing the smell away from the house. Once I start drinking beer, I will not even notice it anymore.

I wanted to see Coachlaw's place this weekend, so we will make the best of it.

Yes, it is around Mud Cut, but closer to Cold Pass enterance. It is actuall on Titilum Bayou.
