  • This Not The Winter I Waited All Year For

    71 degrees @ 8:45am on January 21st

So what happens when the cool front comes in in a little while. If its 71 degrees and it drops 10 degrees do the fish go deeper or shallower.

There may be a brief prefront bite.

Where are the mornings in the 30s and afternoons in the 40s?

Screw the cold weather. That's why I'm all nested up here at the Mirage. is nested a word or did I just invent a new one?

I kinda like the Al Gore global warming just fine.

Question for you bird hunters - did the mild winter affect your catch rate?

By the way there is usually a bad cold outbreak around the first of February, give or take a week.

Fished a back drain this evening. The water temp was 71.4f. Crazy bait everywhere but no fish.

I miss them cold morning too, nothing like a layer of ice on the deck of the boat in the morning with winds at 20+ mph.
                        Today is a new day!!

My fishfinder showed water temp at 72 once. Only thing biting better than the fish on the bayou and bay was the dang mosquitoes. They got plenty of blood from me.. LOL

I want it to get cold again so it will thin out the boat traffic.

Short and a t-shirt today when not in the waders.

Just wait an hour or two the weather here will change.
