  • Bigwater Aground in Front of Mud Cut

Bigwater aka Robert is aground at Mud Cut and needs a tow or some help pushing! He said they were running toward some pelicans that were working bait and got waaaaay up on the bar.
If anyone is fishing or in the vicinity of Christmas, the pass, or Chocolate bay, he needs some help. He said pushing they've made about 4". His number is (281) 808-0777 if you can assist, drop off more beer, or give him some moral support.

Brazoria County Sheriff's Dept...they have a volunteer group that will come out. I'd go help but have to be at work @ 4.

Talk about been there done that....there!

If someone does go...don't leave dock without 3 4ft section of 2"PVC and a lot of rope!

Not on topic.. But why would you need 3 4' sections of PVC.

Send pics, so we know which boat not to follow. lol

Seriously though, not a good feeling. Stuck my 32' on the old redfish island this past spring. Had to wait for wakes from passing ships to wash us off of it. As we sat there, listing heavily to port, I decided to open my lunch box for a snack. Much to my surprise, my wife had packed a banana in it...could that have been the cause for the grounding!? I've heard it is bad luck to carry a banana on a boat...I now have proof!

Anyway, after we got ungrounded, we continued to Galveston where my son hooked up with a 5' 6" black tip! That made the whole trip much better. Unforunately, we lost one of our outdrives the next day(locked up) on the trip back to Clear Lake. Probably a result of the grounding.

No more bananas on my boats!

By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary.
