The question was what do you think about this depth finder? I like the price and I think it's all that I need.Originally posted by FlatoutFishin View PostNot half as scared as me Derek, I missread...I thought he was asking me if a unic would do him!
Screw the depth finder and save for a decent GPS.I work just enough to pay for my fishing habit.

It'll probably be fine...did you read any reviews? I always had problems while I was running due to turbulance coming out from under my hull, so basically, I never paid attention to it and don't use one. Where your running....a lot of the times it want be working I bet.Originally posted by 007 View PostThe question was what do you think about this depth finder? I don't want anything fancy! All I want is a decent fish finder/ depth finder. I don't want to spend that much on electronics because I'm pretty tough on that boat.Originally posted by Gilbert View Postif you are going to cheap out on a depth finder, just spend some serious cash on a bad *** gps and skip the whole depthfinder part.I work just enough to pay for my fishing habit.

Not bad deal
Mike the price is definetly good, I found it at cabelas for $79 and that was the cheapest. All the reveiws were good with the average being in the 4's out of 5 stars. The only bad side was the guy said it quit working in shallow water, which happens with the best, or more expensive units anyway, and this will probably be when underway rather than drifting. I say, if your set on getting one, give it a shot...you want be out too much and if it doesn't work, I might just take it off your hands for like a 12 pack or something.Don't be a Nancy!
