Yeah that boat drafts a pretty good amount and West Bay is not kind to deep draft boats. I have a deep V that I ran in West for a number of years (thats how I found most of the reefs) and finally bought me a scooter to really be able to fish West. Big boat sits in its sling in winter, is mostly used for the jetties, flounder run and partying.
Looks like you put in at Fat Boys, Jones lake is shallow so on low tides unless you know it I would be cautious. You should be able to get up the old ICW and fish confederate and around N & S Deer if you have a GPS.Comment

Welcome, Thats a really nice boat ,stay in channels such as the ICW and near causeway offats& Harborwalk, West bay is a pretty hard on deeper keels,caution is the rule Even old salts find new reefs .Tight Lines,West is the best!West Bay Sensai...Comment
