I tried to buy a gun there Saturday with a bunch of gift cards. They said there computer system was down and that they were not legally aloud to sell guns with it down. I pointed out that you go just down the street and they will call it in. Needless to say I was as polite as possible to the arrogant manager. I WILL not go back to the Webster again. Marbergers it is for me

I think they shifted a lot of their inventory to the new store on the Beltway. I stopped by there today and they had everything I needed.

just looked all that up. OMG, hope against hope, I thought China was just infiltrating our fishing lures and hooks, but, shame on me, its a done deal. I remember when my Parents said the same thing about all the products from Japan, what is our country coming too. Its overwhelming.

Academy stores were bought out last year, they are probably liquidating inventory and not restocking until the t's are crossed and the i's dotted, having said that---the Webster location is an outright joke and has been since they opened that location. If the manager is still a girl named Jill, it won't get any better, she has the outdoor knowledge of a shoe salesman---no offense to shoe salesman. rs

                        hey Smooth:

I quit using Academy to get my door prizes for fishing T. They used to give me a 10% discount or sale prices in effect over last 30 days-at first that was fine with me, but when the Galveston Store changed managers and I had $6000 to spend, he said ZERO discount. Now they get ZERO fishing T money from me. The new manager said to me "That's why the old manager aint here." Funny thing was I sent letters to the Corporate office asking for discounts and was told same thing by former manager (10% or sales price in last 30 days), so the new manager is either a jerk or the whole company went to heck.
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

I ran into the same thing last weekend at the Academy/Webster/I-45........ Most to the good soft plastics were gone.... I went to the Bass Pro Shop/H-288 and got what I needed (paid more too).
Not sure how that store got that way, maybe inventory time or that location just gets pounded by all the fishermen being so close to the water. Either way they need to restock.........

Have you looked at the price on Igloo Hardware. What the Heck! Half the price for a new chest. Buy your shoes online! Good Luck!

I have bought my last igloo for that very reason. plus the lid bows up and the latches suck. I do know that the company I work for has to pay taxes on inventor at the end of the years so our inventor usuall fits in a small box come December 31. Not sure. The store in sugarland aint too bad but its all of the big box stores these days. How many times do you go in and no 1/4oz jig heads but a billion of every other type. Marburgers my new favorite store then cut rate.
