Webster Academy -- Dont Bother

Went in there today for some jig heads and a few soft plastics and they were out of everything!! The shelves were bare -- They had 1 corky (not one kind -- ONE) and most all of the plastics that I use were represented by bare spots. --plenty of Gulp left for the potlickers though .. The lines at the 3 registers that were open were 10 to 15 people long. Not sure whats up but they need to rectify it quick before they lose all of their business.

I was there a few months ago & noticed the same thing. I shop at a store on I10 & Gessner, a lot better stocked.

They started to give me some lip today about the returns but i showed them the warranty on the stuff that i exchanged.

I was at the New store on 45 next to Johnny Tamales, looking for a Magelan bag, which they didnt have, so they sent me to the Webster store to pick one up and they didnt have it, after we called them, and they said they had plenty of them, even had the sku #, waste of my gas and time.

Smooth -- I didnt see anything on sale but I did hear something about what Jhua said about the 2.00 off -- might be worth checking out.

Matt -- It was me -- I got the blue 75 or 80 dollar one and I've been happy with it -- 2nd season with it now and no problems yet.

Webster Store is CRAP. They never have anything your looking for. They should call it Academy Shoes. Not for fishing. Bunch of cheap JUNK. I would go to CUT THROAT before I go back. At least they have what I need. Leave your CC at home! Happy New Year!
