i called lews today and it turns out it was a warranty issue with the clickers in the drag and pinion control soo the spool is still fine maybe they are sending me everything free.

Hehe ... the 50# line class with the bent-butt on a graphite/glass composite blank like from Chark Bait with Aftco roller guides and the titanium alloy reel seat and frame assembly is enough ammo for me! The 80 is used only for the shotgun down the center long on the stinger rigger anyways - that's just for a high-dollar teaser with a Bird-N-Turd. The 50 is all I need since I don't fish deep for swordfish or hunt the bluefin tuna on the East Coast. I already got the harness and butt plate for it! Saving up my beer can money for a brand new Penn International or Tiagra 50-wide. I'll let ya crank in a marlin or two if'n ya want. Deal?

I like a simple rod I would rather spend the money on better components than a fancy piece of art to go fishing with it looks great and with my favorite reel on it for chunking plastics hec yea.wtg
